Requesting a review
Email contact@blwarillefoundation.org with the page or file concerned, the specific statement or item, the requested action, your relationship to the material and any supporting evidence.
Assessment
The Foundation may verify the requester’s identity, consult the contributor, family, editor or rights holder, and preserve a confidential record of the request. Reviews consider factual accuracy, consent, privacy, copyright, cultural dignity, public interest and archival integrity.
Possible outcomes
An item may be corrected, clarified, reattributed, temporarily restricted, replaced, withdrawn or retained with an explanatory note. Urgent restriction may occur while a credible safety, privacy or rights concern is assessed.
Record of changes
Material changes should be documented internally. Where appropriate, the public page or publication record may identify that a correction has occurred without exposing private correspondence.
Tribute withdrawal
Contributors may request review of their own tribute. Because approved material forms part of a historical archive, withdrawal is assessed carefully and is not always equivalent to erasing every preservation record or previously distributed copy.
